Stark contrast from the previously posted ad.
This is visually very poor and bit too pesimistic.
However the real figures given in it are very effective and believable.

I really like this advertisement.. I just hope those people who do smoke actually read it!!
    I can’t stand smoking!

I have a suggestion actually for this.
Perhaps you can try aligning the text in the shape of an unfinished cigarette. The headline can be placed a bit further apart from each other, as if it’s the tip of the cigarette.
Only to make it a bit more visually appealing.

It needs a hell of art direction… very poor.. killed the main concept

Genius lies in knowing when to stop. Don’t change a thing.

AH! The charm of long copy advertising! Straightforward, shocking and effective. There are some ads that do not need immense work on the computer and that IS because the concept is strong already. This is one of those. Reminds me of the best era in advertising, long copy et al. Thumbs up for this one!

nadja … it reminds you of best era in advertising…long copy et al…well then you haven’t read long copy ads…

Read Neil French, David Abbott, Tony Brignull, Robert Campbell, Alfredo Marcantonio, Tom Rayfield, Dave Trott and Bobby Pawar’s copy…

I am sure you will change your opinion or probably your profession.
