God dammit man, why the Indian guy ! Oman full of Indians actually its part of India :), anyway i think the concept her is LAME because any civilized person will know that he should pull/push to open the door without even reading anything ! This ad works better if they use TARAZAN or something,,,, hahahahahah

    GOD SAVE US

yes, God save us from your comments ‘restless’.
But i do agree that this ad is pure crap, with all due respect to the creators of such a thing.

wow! that’s it! great idea and simple excution.

  • 4. kre8tive  |  August 18th, 2007 at 11:04 am

This could work better for a GLASS CLEANER or OPTO stuff like Contact Lenses. Back to the drawing board, kids!

  • 7. cj  |  August 19th, 2007 at 1:17 pm

sometimes even i am also confused between PUSH & PULL…
but act like this, is too much!
may be just to avoid this kind of drama some offices & malls are equipped with auto sliding doors ;-)

In this ad lot to discuss coz the guy is looking like a Indian or Pakistani, if he is a chinese or tibeten ok we can think like he don’t know the basic words like pull and push. But normaly Indian can understand these words and moreover he is looking like a middle class man, not a carpenter or cleaner…. Anyway good concept but the model is not suiting at all

  • 9. kre8tive  |  August 20th, 2007 at 12:35 pm

Hey, stop being so RACIST on your comments Shumaker.. there’s nothing good in the ad anyways, could have done a Gazillion times better.

  • 10. Edz  |  August 24th, 2007 at 1:48 pm

If the ad is for the country of INDIA or somewhere where majority of the population is indian, the model would be appropriate. So basically we have to consider

    The Audience (Very imortant)
    Proximity

I think this ad mainly addressed to the omanies who dont know basic english. if that is so the language should have been arabic and the model offcourse is inappropriate. I doubt its one of them! Idea is not bad.

    At all.

    Hello Guys;

This is my first comment in this site, hope you like it.

In my opinion the Ad is not studied well, because of the word PULL is in RED (7000Mh.), and as we all know this color can be seen from a far distance, so any one sees the color must realize that the door is closed, without reading the word, and everyone can see the door hand which makes us realize that the door is closed also.

Another thing, the man pose isn’t suitable for the situation. Anyone who hits a door, his hands must be getting down (he surprised right!!!!!???), As you see he is raising his hands, by doing that he gave me a sign that he noticed the door is closed in the last moment, and I am sure that he could avoid the hit, if he has the time to raise his hands.

    Thanks and Regards,

Oh i thought the word was DULL

  • 15. ob1=w@n  |  September 2nd, 2007 at 3:29 pm

It would have been funnier if instead of a man, there’s a man-shaped hole through the glass door. For the Looney Tunes look.

A nice visual would be a Library card indicating that the owner borrowed a Harry Potter book at maybe 11:00 am and returned it at 11:02 am the same day.

  • 17. ang  |  September 2nd, 2007 at 6:49 pm

if the guy cannot read “pull” and thus slammed into the door, then he cannot read the ad and he’ll slam into the magazine!

    logical right?

  • 18. REJ  |  September 17th, 2007 at 3:56 am

Actually, the word shouldn’t be PULL, it should be COPY. Look up the ambient work TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris did for a glass cleaner. Someone smacked up against a glass door. Mmmmm. I smell a copy cat rat here.
