TV programs & ads on…. petrol pumps

TV Gas Pump

It’s being tested in Dallas, Texas, and seems to be well received so far.

If it takes you around 3 minutes to fill up your car’s petrol tank, then it’s an opportunity for marketers to catch you.

The ‘gas pump’, as Amercians call it, comes with a TV screen and sound featuring programming- probably short news pieces and snippets from famous TV shows- with some advertising.

It’s the latest in out-of-the-home advertising ideas, some of which succeed and go on to spread, while other dissappear.

Do you think Petrol pump advertising will still be around next year? Or that it will ever make it to the Middle East?

Visit the Gas Station TV website.
