The biggest Firefox outdoor ad ever!
August 18th, 2006 Zeid Nasser (Admin)
A group of Mozilla Firefox fans from Oregon State University (OSU) are going to extremes to promote their favourite Internet browser which has succeeded in grabbing market share from Microsoft’s Internet Explorer over the past couple of years.
As you can see, they’ve created a Firefox Crop Circle, in a field of oats. It’s 220 feet in diameter and looks best from the sky. It took 12 OSU students around 24 hours to complete it.
This was done by the same people who created the Firefox Air Balloon and the Firefox Sidewalk.
These must be the most dedicated and impressive examples of consumer generated media and brand promotion that I’ve ever seen.
You must read how they did it here.
