If my understanding of this is corrrect It’s actually a very nice ad for the WWF. (World Wildlife Foundation)

The idea is that Hamour fish are being taken out of the ocean too soon (under five years) and there’s not enough larger size being caught.

Hence the line best after five years.

    The title is very clear!!!
Stop fishing Hamour when it is young not only because it is tastier when it is big but also because supply will increase significantly. Remember there is a global food crisis now, and since I sell fish, I know we are facing more scarcity of raw material.
Do you know that a female fish lays hundreds of thousands of eggs normally!!! So when they are kept more than 5 years, mature females will be guaranteed to lay eggs…….
Be economic in everything for the sake of next generations, not only in consuming water and energy, but in food as well, it is healthier also.

By the way Chafic, just for the record i got it straight away.
I think its a nice idea and nicely executed BUT and this is a big BUT…who are we talking to here?
Fisherman? Are you telling the fisherman not to catch such young fish? If you are talking to those Pakistani fisherman who sit in Fujeirah or RAK all day under the sun picking thier teeth or their toes then they will no way in hell understand what this message was all about and even if they did they wouldnt give a crap.
If you are talking to the locals who employ these Pakistanis then they will also not get it and also not give a crap.
I think the only people who will be affected by this ad are European or Expat spearfishers that head out on weekends to catch a few Hamours and thats like less than 10 people.
Where did this run? i am really interested to know the thought behind this, if its just awards than fair enough.

You’re talking to influentual people like politicians or businessmen who have some sort of concience.

That’s about all you can do other than the Govt. fining the hell out of them for selling fish under size.

Is there a way to know the age of fish under water?

It is easy for people who live in the gulf! the fish market is going rapid and the demand is huge so they are killing the small fishes in the wrong time. nice one JWT
