I like these alot.In particular the grocery list execution. Nice one guys. Did you do an advertising one? LOL
2. amre husseini - AKA BITEME | August 23rd, 2008 at 6:34 pm
Very nice:)
3. Dozero | August 23rd, 2008 at 7:39 pm
There is no consistency here. Actually, the 2nd ad is different and beautiful. As a campaign it doesn’t work. sorry .
4. Quck comment | August 24th, 2008 at 2:03 am
I second what Dozero said.
The 2nd one is great because its natural to write (in this case, draw) a shopping list but…
NO one writes a contact to his gardner or draws a chart on the clothes they wear according to their weight.
Even though i hate this word i will use it, “forced”.
Now what they should have done is think about it a bit more, what do you naturally write on other than a shopping list? That should have been a starting point for a brainstorm session.
Maybe its a happy birthday card but somehow the message is written in a very formal or technical way, sort of like a lawyer would do it. It has to be something that anyone would naturally write (like a shopping list).
5. amre husseini - AKA BITE ME | August 24th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
Guys, analysts draw charts, lawyers draft agreements / contracts; in these cases they have no other way of practicing their skills than by (1) writing a contract with the gardener (2) drawing a chart about weight loss clothing changes. The ad invites them to put their skills to better use. It works wonderfully in my opinion.
6. Quck comment | August 24th, 2008 at 12:43 pm
no other way by practicing their skills?
Amre, its supposed to be an everyday situation where you practice your skills.
Its not an everyday situation to write to your gardner but it is an everday situation to write a shopping list.
Thats why im saying that another type of “everyday” situation would be something like a birthday card, a note to your wife, an email to a colleague……these are “normal” everyday situations where things are written down.
7. amre husseini - AKA BITEME | August 24th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
anyway to me the statement “put your skills to better use” says that he has the skills to write a contract but doesnt have the right job to practice those skills so he’ll practice them with his gardener…that’s why it made sense to me…but I do see your point…
8. Creative Rules | August 24th, 2008 at 9:48 pm
Zeid, this is getting painfully boring hearing the same old repeatative posts. The other way was far more fun. BTW is the ventriloquist poster staying or is he just a guest?
9. Quck comment | August 24th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
Zeid, this is exactly how your blog should be, its about opinions and most of the time constructive criticism.
A group of professional adults discussing advertising.
creative rules is calling amre, dozero & myself “boring” for actually contributing and discussing these ads.
Now can you see hows stirring things up here?
10. Creative Rules | August 24th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
This is great coming from the first and only poster edited on Adblogarabia for his highly offensive and personal posts. Zeid shouldn’t we pull over drunken posters? You’re obviously pissed with “Now can see hows stirring things up here? LOL
11. Creative Rules | August 24th, 2008 at 10:30 pm
Soon we’ll be hearing from Dozero closely followed by Amre closely followed by Quick Comment closely followed by BITEME closely followed by Dozero etc etc.etc. LOL
12. vegas | August 24th, 2008 at 10:34 pm
Great ads. Hats off.
13. Creative Rules | August 24th, 2008 at 10:38 pm
Hey Vegas, glad you liked them…great to hear from a real poster for a change.
14. Creative Rules | August 24th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
CQ??? I don’t know what you’re on about. The brilliance of these ads is taking everyday stuff and juxtapositioning them with the opposite way of executing the problem. Hence a frustrated lawyer dealing with his gardner, a frustrated business planner dealing with her wardrobe and weight problem and an artist dealing with their shopping list. Good stuff.
15. Dozero | August 24th, 2008 at 11:14 pm
Shut up!!
16. amre husseini - AKA BITEME | August 24th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
A real poster??? Once again proof that you really do need a copywriter “a real blogger” is the correct term. I was being civil on this blog until you started on post number 8 as usual.
Do us all a favor and stop posting mate, I’m sick of correcting your stupid comments all the time.
17. Creative Rules | August 25th, 2008 at 12:33 am
Ventriloquist
18. Dozero | August 25th, 2008 at 12:42 am
Really you are bothering everyone here. other commentators have stopped commenting on ads because they fear getting into this ridiculous conversation. we try to fix the situation here. But it seems you don’t want……!!
19. Zeid Nasser (Admin) | August 25th, 2008 at 4:44 am
Creative Rules, you are stirring up trouble…… I think you need to put this matter to rest and just get on with commenting on the work please.
20. Creative Rules | August 25th, 2008 at 7:28 am
Okay okay Zeid. You must admit it’s getting bloody boring just hearing from the same three posters all the time (and strangely all at once. QC, Dozy and Biteme.) I just couldn’t resist having a crack at the ventriloquist. LOL I promise I’ll try to be a good poster and stick to the work but it gets to a stage where you sometimes you just have to step in and correct the situation. Cheers mate and happy Blogging.
BTW Biteme we are all individual posters who post posts. A blogger is someone like Zeid who owns a blog. Like this one. Correction #255.
21. Dozero | August 25th, 2008 at 9:15 am

24. jack daniels | August 25th, 2008 at 12:48 pm

Quick comment ….. are you sure you want to take an ‘online discussion’ into the ‘offline world’, as a gesture of vengeance?
In my opinion- if you accept my opinion that is and expecting the usual abuse following this message- you would be taking things too far.
40. Dozero | August 25th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
Ok please Quick comment send the email.
