‘No’ to porno & seduction in the UAE!

“Say NO to seduction in UAE”, an interesting ad created a while back by Team Y&R in Dubai for Al-Bayan newspaper in attempts to resist seduction and pornographic activities in the UAE.
The ad features the logo of Playboy, shaped like the word ‘NO’ in Arabic … very clever!

I thought so too ….. and blogged it although it’s an old ad.
Actually, I plan to start blogging great old ads like this regularly.
After all, they’re part of the region’s advertising history… right?

The correct translation is “Say NO to pornography in UAE”.
Yes it is a brilliant ad if you consider playboy to be pornographic.
Pornography is not an epidemic in the UAE. What they need to resist is prostitution.
