Oh dear, Amre, is this what you mean but standing out?
Like i said maybe for Jordan this is unique and original but the last time i saw a landscape all made out of rubbish was in New York in the 80`s. I remember it now, It was new york city made from rubbish and i have seen several ads like that since then.
    All in the early 90`s.
We are now in 2008 and Y&R Jordan are still cracking the same joke.
By the way the font is terrible, it doesnt need to be jagged and rough and why is it at the bottom left? Ohhh because thats where the shadow is, bad reason.
I also dont understand why it is written in English, surely the Jordanians that can read English are educated enough not to throw rubbish in the streets? It should have been in Jordanian Arabic.
Sorry Amre, this is not impressive at all.
I want to hear the radio ads.

Ah come on Amre. Don’t you get tired of typing in Quick Comment then a fake email address then making a comment to yourself. Then waiting an hour or two. Then typing in Dozero then a fake email address then making a comment to yourself. Waiting a few more hours then finally typing in Amre Husseini/Bite me then making a comment. The Quick Comment….

It must get very tiring. But then again you’re used to that by now, you’ve been doing it for years. LOL

  • 3. Adrenaline  |  October 13th, 2008 at 1:52 pm

What image isn’t this the real image!!!!

  • 4. quickcomment  |  October 13th, 2008 at 2:29 pm

creative rules, you really are paranoid!! Dont dodge the comments. How can we prove we are not the same people? Why dont you defend your work instead of blaming others.
What would prove to you that we are not the same people? tell me so we can solve this once and for all.
Come on paranoid new zealander, ask me something that amre might not know, something about new zealand. I quick comment have been to wellington, has amre? maybe ask me some stuff about wellington? i was there for a week. go one ask me which hostel i stayed in or something.
    Idiot.

I think Creative rules says the truth … they are all the same guy..

  • 6. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 13th, 2008 at 4:28 pm

    very bad work

  • 7. amre husseini - AKA BITEME  |  October 13th, 2008 at 5:55 pm

Creative rules, the way you keep hammering away at a stupid false conspiracy theory only makes you come across as clueless. Relax, let people critique your work or else don’t upload it to these sites.

NOW Don’t fire back, try to sound smart, or respond, just for once be quiet let your copywriters get back to work and read what the critics have to say…for someone who tries to project so much confidence, you are coming across as very insecure.

  • 8. quickcomment  |  October 13th, 2008 at 6:35 pm

by the way how old is creative rules?

  • 9. Creative rules  |  October 13th, 2008 at 7:41 pm

FYI Amre we didn’t upload this ad onto Adblogarabia. Zaid obviously got it off this years Lynx award site. Ask him.

I notice you don’t have the confidence to send any work from your agency. (funny about that)

Quick Comment. Who gives a flying fuck what you think. Anyone who has failed at everything he’s done has no credibility whatsoever. There is no ad done in the 80’s with New York in garbage is there. (If so show us) Or for that matter any done in the 90’s. This is just more crap you pull out of your arse at random. BTW you want to clear this identity crisis up once and for all??? For the umtenth time tell us which country you live in and which agency you work for. (Watch him worm his way out of this yet again) LOL

I don’t have to defend it Amre. The fact that it was the only ad from Jordan to get into this years Lynx awards is enough for me.

    Cheers.

  • 10. quickcomment  |  October 13th, 2008 at 8:53 pm

    answer the question sheep shagger.
Why was this done in english?
Why is the retouching so bloody bad?
why did you put the text bottom left (nearly out the ad)?
Why bother doing such a boring ad?

  • 11. Creative Rules  |  October 13th, 2008 at 9:13 pm

    1. It was done only in Arabic. Done in English to enter into awards because the judges don’t all speak Arabic

2, There was no retouching that’s how Jerash actually looks.

3, Best place for the headline.

    4. We’ve already established your lack of credibility to judge an ad so this question is redundant

    Now answer the question.
Which country do you live in and where do you work?

(Told you he’d worm his way out of it).

(Like the sheep shagger term though)

  • 12. ziad hamdan  |  October 13th, 2008 at 10:38 pm

amazing ad, i would like to change the copy font, but its beautiful and professional art direction, 10/10

  • 13. amre husseini - AKA BITEME  |  October 13th, 2008 at 11:18 pm

If the ad didn’t run in English why was it entered into Lynx? Dont know the rules just asking the question, doesnt an ad have to be placed to be entered? Also I remember this ad ran in a quarter page Waseet format (free of charge) right before the Jordan Advertising Awards so as to enter into an empty category right?

In your feedback to quick comment point number two, you’re wrong because at either end of the row of columns in Jerash there are no hills, so just listen to the comments and dont react. See Ziad Hamdan gave you a 10/10, so just be happy that people liked it, I didnt say anything bad about it, so that should make you feel special…

Now go have a coke and a smile and…

  • 14. Creative Rules  |  October 14th, 2008 at 8:34 am

I think Creative rules says the truth … they are all the same guy.

You’ve got a GOLDEN EYE there mate.

That’s why Dumb Comment refuses to tell us which country he’s from and where he works. Same can be said for Dozero. They won’t because they can’t. Golden Eye if you look at the all the posts written by all three you’ll notice there are certain phrases and sayings that give him away everytime. Dozero started his posts with the this fake pigeon english then it developed into perfect articulate english. Then every now and again he’d get out of character and go back to the bad english. LOL Quick Comment pretends to live outside of the ME but for some strange reason knows everything about Jordan and the ME. Every detail that only a local would know.

Then the best bit. He comes on in his real name and acts the good guy.

It’s all very sad really. The poor guy has obviously very little to do in his big rambling new office and is obsessed with controlling this site through different user names. (He tried to launch his own blog but no one has bothered to respond to it because it’s a joke)

If you want a really good laugh click on his name you’ll go to his blog. See for yourself. It is the worst designed blog I’ve ever seen. But more importantly the content is appaulling. It seems to be permanently paused. He’s had this ridiculous hamburger thing there for months and there’s a cartoon character of him on the right with him saying…wait for it…YO. Like he’s some cool dude. LOL

It’s good to see that someone else has seen through his facade. Stay posted and come along for the ride it’s alot of fun.

(Sorry you didn’t like the anti-litter ad but I guess you can’t win them all.)

Now…for the best part…watch him and his alter egos respond to this. (Can’t wait)

    here we go again…..

  • 16. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 14th, 2008 at 10:37 am

    Dear Creative Rules

Unfortunately this is fact in Jordan, Bad advertising is a result of bad people controls the industry & thats Why I left jordan 6 years back, I mean its all about mafia.. its not a creative industry any more its A ((wasta)), connections & shallow thinking industry, I think you know that very clear..
I really feel so sad When I come every year to Jordan & I see all this bad literal communications, for a very smart audience, I work in Dubai & I feel its so hard to present a nice piece of communication. because I believe that your creative should be built according to your target audience characteristic which we lack here according to the diversity of the community.

& thats why all the good talents leaves Jordan, & thats why advertising in jordan 5 years back is much better than now.

  • 17. amre husseini - AKA BITEME  |  October 14th, 2008 at 10:37 am

I’m counting to ten here because I did promise to stick to commenting on the artwork. If you would like me to comment on you personally, please do give me a call,

  • 18. Creative rules  |  October 14th, 2008 at 10:38 am

Yeah Gibbo here we go again. I was prepared to walk away from it all but post #5 above has reinspired me to expose this fraud once and for all to all the good people on this blog.

  • 19. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 14th, 2008 at 10:43 am

By the way When I saw the AD, I was thinking of Atlantic the lost city under the water..
it looks like algae it doesn’t look like garbage..

  • 20. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 14th, 2008 at 10:51 am

there is no concept behind this AD…
It depended on poor art direction & retouching..

  • 21. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 14th, 2008 at 11:05 am

Finally I think we are ruining the image of Jordan by presenting a such work..

  • 22. Creative rules  |  October 14th, 2008 at 11:13 am

GOLDEN EYE. I’ve seen all the advertising done in Jordan pre 2003 and it was absolutely appaulling. The ads were just poorly executed graphic design pieces with no concepts at all. And that was just the print. The television commercials were a joke. I agree that the work should suit the audience. In Dubai it’s mainly expats who are somewhat more sophisticated so the advertising reflects that. Here in Jordan it’s completely different. The target audience is nothing like Dubai . That’s why the advertising is far more literal and that’s what clients demand. If you look at advertising around the world at Cannes, One Show, D&AD and Archive you’ll see the best ads are very very simple and dare I say it very literal.

AMRE, Don’t worry mate no need to say anything. Dumb Comment and Dozy will do all that for you. LOL

  • 23. Rami3  |  October 14th, 2008 at 11:42 am

Don’t agree with Golden Eye. I like the advertisment very much. The idea is exellently made. Why is the concept just retouching? A big tourist site like Jarash (is it?) made of trash is the best idea. Then you say ruining the image of Jordan? Jealousy perhaps because you didnot do so good there at Jordan so long ago? It is the opposit to this. More advertising like this makes better the image of Jordan. Seems by reading your message 16 you sounds like things went bad for you there in Jordan and even still bad for you here in Dubai. Sorry for you. Where to next? Syria? YALLA!

  • 24. Adrenaline  |  October 14th, 2008 at 12:17 pm

I miss Mr. know it all -Louai Alasfahani -

  • 25. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 14th, 2008 at 1:24 pm

    Dear Mr. Rami 3,

If you are building your theories upon assumption, I would assume that you are the on who created this AD???
& you are helpless trying to defeat it back, & lets Assume that things were not going good with me in Amman, 5 years ago?
I would be very happy for that, because seeing such a work after 5 years indicates that i was very lucky to leave the industry in Jordan.

one thing !! when you say here in Dubai that tells me that you are staying in Dubai, but I know as a fact if you are working in any normal design house in Dubai & your supervisor recognized that you have wrote that message, you should be in a place of a question mark???

Dear Mr. Rami good Piece of Communication doesn’t need defeating back or lobbing, I Challenge you to to tell me what is the creative concept behind this AD??

About Syria, if I will be more than happy to go there, if I knew that it will broaden my creative horizons, & it will teach me how to accept comments on my work without cursing the other people.
I think you should be really sorry about your self Mr. Rami 1 or 2 or 3 :)

  • 26. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 14th, 2008 at 1:37 pm

    The creative Challenge:
there is a lot of Trash in Jerash.

    The Creative Solution:
Lets but the trash every where in Jerash.

That is exactly what I meant of Literal & shallow thinking, Mr Rami3

  • 27. rami3  |  October 14th, 2008 at 2:42 pm

The cat is great I just saw it.

  • 28. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 14th, 2008 at 2:55 pm

    Dear Mr. Creative Rules,
With all respect, what are you saying is very true, but butting the blame over & over on the client & or on the people, is not true & not accepted from the leaders of industry in Jordan. & yes I have seen many single minded Ads won many big award, but you Know as I know that those are not similar to what we see in Jordan :)

  • 29. creative rules  |  October 14th, 2008 at 3:54 pm

I’ve tried very hard mate but I don’t have a clue what the hell you are talking about.

I like the clients here because they demand straight forward, simple, literal solutions and the people are great. (Well…except for maybe one or two)

The best sense you’ve made so far is post #5 above.

    Cheers

  • 30. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 14th, 2008 at 4:29 pm

Dear Creative Rules I’m not talking Nuclear physics here!
That its so hard to be understood, what Im saying represent my point view only, What are you saying explains why we are so late back in jordan.

straight forward, simple, literal ads doesn’t deserve to be uploaded on this site, & doesn’t deserve to comment on it!!!

& you know that this makes big sense..

    Best regards.

  • 31. creative rules  |  October 14th, 2008 at 5:14 pm

Post #5. A stroke of genius. LOL

  • 32. amre husseini - AKA BITE ME  |  October 14th, 2008 at 6:35 pm

“GOLDEN EYE. I’ve seen all the advertising done in Jordan pre 2003 and it was absolutely appalling” words of creative rules…so the launch of JT in 2001 was appalling?

  • 33. creative rules  |  October 14th, 2008 at 6:45 pm

Everything other than Team’s work of course. :)

  • 34. quickcomment  |  October 14th, 2008 at 6:59 pm

Haha.. i love this quote from CR
“I like the clients here because they demand straight forward, simple, literal solutions”

ALL clients around the world want that!
Its our job to give them something that is lateral, fresh and make their product stand out.
I bet youre one of those spineless creatives who agrees to everything a client wants.

  • 35. amre husseini - AKA BITEME  |  October 15th, 2008 at 12:29 am

To me advertising has always been about getting a message across, even if its text only BOLD font on a pink background. The target in Jordan likes things straight forward and simple (unfortunately I must agree with creative rules, as much as I hate to) every ad is supposed to achieve something and that’s not always an award, a client would be much happier with an increase in sales than with an award gathering dust on the shelves of an agency’s meeting room…

  • 36. Gibbo  |  October 15th, 2008 at 9:56 am

what client doesn’t want to increase sales? even if its indirectly? thats our job. not just coloring in the lines.

  • 37. amre husseini - AKA BITEME  |  October 15th, 2008 at 10:41 am

Gibbo, yes you are right, but that’s something we all seem to forget in our critic here, to me the measure of good ad is not the awards it has been put up for, but what it achieves for the brand. The awards are nice they add credibility for the agency’s work (sometimes) but they dont confirm that it is a “good ad” in my definition of what a good ad is…

I’ll give you an example (CR will love this one), nuggets going up a slide and sliding down into a bowl of ketchup. Definitely not worthy of any award but probably got the point across to the target that its a product for kids, tastes great with ketchup or whatever the USP was…

  • 38. Dr.Devil  |  October 15th, 2008 at 1:59 pm

i like the ad, but for god sake why all the jordanian advertising never had been taking award (or maybe but not this year) from lynx dubai …… lets blame the clint ??!!!

  • 39. creative rules  |  October 15th, 2008 at 2:38 pm

Dr Devil. Although this was the only Jordanian Ad that got short listed into Lynx this year it did not get an award. It’s a very good first step but if we want to win awards in Lynx we have to be better. Alot better. And perhaps be more international and global in the concept. These international judges don’t give a damn or appreciate local cultures and all they can judge work on is what appeals to them and what works in their country. (Alot come from countries with no restrictions in either culture or censoring)

We’re slowly getting there but unfortunetly it’s still a way off. I’m not sure we can blame the clients. I’ve found that controversy or humour helps a long way to get awarded.

It’s one thing to clean up at the local awards but alot harder to do it on a regional and global level. We have to step up to the plate. That simple :)

  • 40. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 16th, 2008 at 2:59 pm

By the way I got Lynx Dubai award this year:)

  • 41. creative rules  |  October 16th, 2008 at 3:57 pm

It will only have credibility if you tell us what it’s for and which ad.

  • 42. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 16th, 2008 at 4:33 pm

it was for an awareness campaign for Anti second hand smoking , We got the Silver, though we should have took the Gold because JWT Dubai copied the same idea from JWT Paris. but all what they did was reshooting !!
    Check it on this website,
    Stop Second Hand smoking.

  • 43. creative rules  |  October 16th, 2008 at 6:50 pm

So are you Rishad Lawyer or Laith Hafez?

  • 44. Dozero  |  October 18th, 2008 at 7:35 am

The image perfectly reflects who the creative team really are,
    Rubbish!!!

  • 45. Creative Rules  |  October 18th, 2008 at 7:59 pm

Is that right Amre? When are you going to find the courage to send in some of your agency’s work?

By the way Golden eye again… which creative are you? Or should I call you at DDB Dubai.

  • 46. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 19th, 2008 at 10:15 am

My real name is Laith. I’m the art director.
    nice to meet you :)

  • 47. creative rules  |  October 19th, 2008 at 1:56 pm

Good to met you Laith. Your post #5 above has confirmed you as an honoury member of the much valued and much coveted ‘Conspiracy club’.

    Welcome.

  • 48. creative rules  |  October 19th, 2008 at 2:05 pm

amazing ad, i would like to change the copy font, but its beautiful and professional art direction, 10/10

Ziad Hamdan you are obviously a man of impeccable taste and style. (There’s not many of us here on Adblogarabia) You weren’t one of the judges at Lynx that short listed this were you?

  • 49. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 19th, 2008 at 3:25 pm

It was really nice hearing from u CREATIVE RULES, I used to work with wunderman & we used to work with Team Y&R Dubai, I know the great standards which you are guys, standing for.

I hope that my comments were translated more into a constructive, none destructive matter.

all the best in the future work, waiting to see from you nothing but the best.

  • 50. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 19th, 2008 at 3:41 pm

  • 51. amre husseini - AKA BITEME  |  October 20th, 2008 at 5:11 pm

CREATIVE RULES YOU STUCK YOUR FOOT IN YOUR MOUTH AGAIN AND YOU REALLY PROVED SOMETHING HERE…YOU IDIOT YOU JUST PROVED YOU ARE GOLDEN-EYE OH MY GOD WHAT A LOSER!

For your post number 50 you incorrectly posted it as GOLDEN-EYE when you meant to respond as CREATIVE RULES…THAT’S HILARIOUS after all your false accusations and conspiracy theories it turns out you are using a different name that appeared out of no where just to pat yourself on the back????WHAT A LOSER!

  • 52. GOLDEN-EYE  |  October 20th, 2008 at 5:51 pm

    Dear Mr. Amre,
Comment # 50, was for the Lynx awarded Ad, Which I have done, & i was thanking Creative Rules for his comment on it, if you follow the conversation you will find that.
Me & Creative rules are totally different people!!

  • 53. creative rules  |  October 20th, 2008 at 7:28 pm

    Ha Ha fucking Ha ha.

Call Laith in Dubai at DDB in Dubai and he’ll gladly confirm he is Golden Eye. (Unlike your alias mates Dozero and Quick Comment who can’t confirm a thing)

Now who looks like a complete loser. LOL

  • 54. Gibbo  |  October 20th, 2008 at 7:36 pm

it was the pot calling the kettle black.

Now it’s just the pot all by himself

  • 55. Creative Rules  |  October 20th, 2008 at 9:04 pm

Sorry, I just can’t resist making another post.

We are al laughing our guts out here. Poor old Amre is so caught up hating us he forgot all logic and proved once and for all to everyone on this blog and the entire arab advertising world what a bumbling fool he really is. Seriously folks look back and read all the posts by Golden Eye and see if I would write those post to myself shitcanning our own work. This is priceless. What a classic loss of face. Talk about being so paranoid about conspiracy. And all because Golden eye also agreed in post # 5 that Dozero, Quick Comment and Amre are the same person.

I’m going to frame post # 51 above and hang it in my office. LOL Funny stuff.

Oh and Amre please call Laith.

  • 56. amre husseini - AKA BITEME  |  October 21st, 2008 at 3:32 pm

I’m sure you already called him and asked him to take the fall for your stupidity…no hiding from it, nice slip up and attempted cover up, withdraw your foot from your mouth (once again) at any point in time.

Once again apologies to all for your continued retarded attempts to try and hide behind false accusations.

P.S. The only people that are laughing in regard to this blog are all the posters who circulated around the ad from which this garbage one is copied…many of whom work for you by the way…want to find out what you copied? go to ads of the world retard…WHOOOOOPSIE

    Oh and LOL!

  • 57. creative rules  |  October 21st, 2008 at 5:07 pm

Golden Eye is Laith Hafez. Art Director at DDB Dubai. A person I have never met. Please feel free to call him anytime and I’m sure he’d be only pleased to prove this bumbling fool wrong.

BTW the entire creative department is still laughing.

  • 58. Gibbo  |  October 21st, 2008 at 5:34 pm

    Mesh Ma3gool!!!!!!

    Amre, wrong again old chap.

Whatever you’ve been smoking, you forgot to puff puff and pass.

  • 59. amre husseini - AKA BITEME  |  October 21st, 2008 at 6:22 pm

Creative rules, you can make all the excuses you want my friend…too obvious to me.

Your creative department is probably laughing at how you have been once again caught stealing an ad, but you probably wouldnt understand that given the cultural barriers…and very smart of you to avoid that subject again too now that you’ve been “outted” twice in one working day

Gibbo “OLD CHAP”, “puff puff pass???” two contradictory dialects in one line and your asking me what i’m smoking;-) Oh and for the record don’t know what your into but personally i’m not into that stuff sorry…

  • 60. creative rules  |  October 21st, 2008 at 6:49 pm

    Still laughing. LOL

  • 61. amre husseini - AKA BITEME  |  October 21st, 2008 at 7:32 pm

still avoiding the subject too LOL :)
