I don’t like the denture. But I really like the concept and copy writing.

5. kre8tive | October 2nd, 2007 at 3:03 pm
could someone check the english please… disgusting visual.
6. Zeid Nasser (Admin) | October 2nd, 2007 at 4:09 pm
Yes, you spotted the ENglish grammer mistake….
It should say “Teach Us TO Chew”…….
Oops Liwa, how did that happen?
7. Vijay Kumar | October 2nd, 2007 at 5:05 pm
No grammar mistake guys, both with and without ‘to’ are acceptable.
8. kre8tive | October 2nd, 2007 at 10:43 pm
We are not talking to Shakespeare here.. for people who reads plain straight english.. this is kind of funny.
9. Stuart | October 5th, 2007 at 5:37 pm
Surely it should read
“But they can teach us how to chew” as it is trying to tell us to use the experience of the elderly.
Vijay I suggest you go back to English classes, coz the line on that advert is not english

I agree. The grammar mistake is unpardonable.
Vijay, please explain how both usages are ‘acceptable’.
Acceptable, by whom?
Certainly not by Wren and Martin.
Overall, an ad with a good sentiment, but ruined by wrong grammar.
Also felt the line should have taken precedence over the visual. The dentures could have been tucked away into a corner.

How can a mistake like that get through? Poor copywriting and proof reading. SImple skills missing that make a nice ad really bad.
Poor form Liwa Advertising

WHAT A BLOOPER!
WAS THIS AD ACTUALLY RELEASED?
IMAGINE HAVING 2 CREATIVE DIRECTORS IN LIWA AND STILL MAKING A TYPO/GRAMMATICAL ERROR IN THE HEADLINE!
GOD IS IN THE DETAILS…AND I’M SURE HE’S DESERTED LIWA!
VIJAY, YOU NEED A NEW PAIR OF GLASSES, A CRASH COURSE IN WRITTEN AND SPOKEN ENGLISH AND A NEW JOB!
13. Vinod | October 9th, 2007 at 10:17 am
Gosh, it seems you guys want to chew Vijay’s brains.
Or should it be ‘you guys want chew Vijay’s brains’, considering this might be acceptable to him!
On a more serious note, and this is personally addressed to Vijay…dude, mistakes happen, shit happens. Why not just accept that you made a boo-boo and get on with life?
I mean the ad has a lovely sentiment to it. Yes, the lack of proper grammar does jar, but it’s like the mole on Cindy Crawford’s face.
It’s ok man. You are in Liwa. Everyone in Dubai knows what kind of work they do.
Now, what could be worse than that?
14. hayth | October 17th, 2007 at 9:30 pm
Your right Vinod. Needs to chew Vijay’s brains.
every thing can happen in liwa. Poor copywriting.
Vijay where u got the visual. Need some good ideas.Think new. If no ideas? Go back to home. Now u r old.
SImple skills missing. U need new job.
Not working ur polities.
