Brilliant. Brilliant. I’m a bit pissed at the moment, and may live to regret this when I wake up tomorrow, but for the moment I think this is the best print campaign I’ve seen come out of the middle east in the ten years I’ve been here. It’s so simple that i’ve got a horrible feeling that it might have been done before (although I’m not suggesting it’s a rip-off), but if it has I’ve not seem it.
Deserves to clear up.

The idea is really fresh! I like this ads…Interesting ads for cartoon lover.

I have only one concern. Where the hell is Tom & Jerry? They are the most famous characters among all the other cartoon characters shown here.
8. Creative Rules | February 21st, 2008 at 2:05 pm
First of all I doubt that you got permission to use these characters from Disney or whoever owns them without paying a fortune. (I know because I used Tom and Jerry years ago for A major Colgate tvc and it was outrageously expensive)
Secondly the idea of using these characters is so dated and old fashioned it’s not even funny.
Thirdly it’s a cliched tired idea that’s been done to death a million times.
Heinz deserves alot better than this.

Seems a bit 80’s to me. these guys have been done to death.

Creative Rules and Gibbo. You really gave me the smile again after reading all those, unfortunately, silly comments, that this is the best campaign, fresh ..bla bla bla.. Guys, this kind of taste is what makes ads coming out of the middle east so cliche and outdated. As an advice, please check out as much ads as you can. Ads form the past ..etc. Sorry to say that this idea is soo outdated. nothing fresh at all. It’s just a first thought. Using those characters is in itself cliche. You can’t eat without it by showing bugs bunny can’t eat carrots without it??? is it that simple?? where is the smart Creative leap?? where is the surprise woooow moment in the ad??
Good illustrations though

Unforunately Mr. Moey Big pencil fan. I work at leo burnett London, so I’m a Big pencil fan as well. I’m also originally from the Middle East. So don’t act smart knowing the attitude!
