    Fuc**ing old, over used…etc

Short cut, did they try googling the 4×4 ads that used the short cut idea before cloning this….have they seen Saudi Ford ads?

Admin please don’t post such sh**t, its spoiling bloggers’ taste

    Dear Adrenline,

At AdBlogArabia we post The Good, The Bad & The Ugly :)

Simply, the aim is to reflect what’s actually happening in the advertising scene, and start a conversation.

Clearly, you’re an active member in these conversations :)

About this TVC, I actually like it, and I like JWT Dubai’s work in general.

JWT are capable of producing ‘The Good’. However, this ad shows that when theres a real brief from the client - they are also capable of producing ‘The Bad’ & ‘The Ugly’.

Everything about this tvc is bad. From begining to end. The idea is so trite and such a cliche it’s not funny. The kind of hack idea you’d expect from a 90 year old art director still freelancing in Detroit. “We’re late” She says in such a stupid hammy way. “I know a shortcut.” Even more hammy. Can it get any worse? Yes. What I really love is the way the car goes through every conceivable mud bath and yet still comes out gleaming like it drove out of a showroom. Absolute and utter garbage. JWT hang your head in shame.

I think it did the job, it made me want to go out and buy the new GL…

actually this ad is around a year or so old…..in principle its not bad, but the execution is very bad, and the punch line has nothing to do with the ad….
if Merc is celevrating a 100 years of all wheel drive then relate to that….more or less….
