Farrukh Naeem reports on the the world’s biggest poster, unveiled in Dubai yesterday at a press conference held at Hyatt Regency Hotel from where one can get a glimpse of the record-breaking site on the ground.
The poster is a part of Sorouh Faces - a corporate citizenship campaign devised to collect one million faces to place on the poster site. For every photo received in the Sorouh Faces campaign, Sorouh will donate US$1 to the UAE Red Crescent, adding up to a donation of US$ 1 million!

Google has filed for a patent that may be a signal of the company’s intention to enter the “physical advertising industry”.
The patent filing mentions placing adverts on billboards, with the primary innovation being that they’re interactive and connected to the Internet. The system apparently works by only advertising products that are available and in stock within stores in the local area. Stores will be able to buy advertising on these local electronic billboards through a similar system to how AdSense currently works: by logging into a computer and buying them.

Here’s something you don’t see everyday!
Group Plus, an outdoor media owner and operator across the region, has unveiled this fantastic Hummer outdoor promotion in the UAE. The campaign is entitled “Hummer Special Operation”.
According to Group Plus, “The outdoor aims at delivering the message ‘Taking you to what lies beyond the borders of your imagination’ through lifting a Hummer and placing it right smack in the middle of a gigantic wall sign in Dubai.”
Impressive, without a doubt.
