Brits in Dubai offended by ad, du pulls it
August 6th, 2007 Zeid Nasser (Admin)

UAE Telecommunications company du announced this week that it was pulling a radio advert off the air in Dubai, after a Briton said it was “offensive”.
Britons are divided on whether a scrapped du advert that featured a man ordering fish and chips to the tune of their national anthem was offensive.

theres a reason why Brit ex pats dont go home…
so much for celebrating and endorsing freedom of speech in the UK. As ex pats surely we are supposed to be ambassadors. Being offended because of an ad involving chippies and the British national anthem is just as bad as the Sudanese situation with the English teacher calling a teddy bear Mohamed!
pathetic if you ask me!
