Arabic text-link ads arrive from Araby.com

Upon visiting Maktoob Group sites, you will notice that the group’s search engine now offers a service similar to Google Adsense, but in Arabic!
Araby.com had debuted it’s text link advertising, and although we don’t have all the technical details of the service it aims to be ‘contextual targeting’, which could open the flood gates of Arab spending on search advertising.
Watch out Google!

as usual, they fell behind on that. Ayna.com is already offering this for 6months and even have something similar to google adsense!

Really!
Could someone from Ayna bother to communicate with us about it?

I guess you have to contact them.
we have both ayna.com and araby.com under our microscopes.
Advertising wise, araby is way ahead of ayna.
Features wise, ayna is way ahead of araby. these two have to team up in a way or another to out google and yahoo.
If you go back in time (time machine/rankings) Ayna boosted up when they started with the contextual ads and a “google adsense” kind of network. Araby boosted up when they only integrated some prizes contest…
Shame that arabic internet is still poor, hopefully they will both have something to REALLY search for!

Araby will get a distinct advantage over Google with the huge Maktoob audience. Good move and in time.
