Ad Blog Arabia at the World Economic Forum!

May 18th, 2006 Humeid

This year’s World Economic Forum on the Middle East, which is being held from 20-22 May, 2006 in Sharm El Sheikh, will have a session entitled ‘Branding the Middle East’. As I will be attending the event I will be reporting to Ad Blog Arabia readers on this interesting session.

Branding is moving higher on the agenda of regional business and government leaders. In today’s global economy, products, companies, even countries compete for attention in an increasingly information over-saturated environment. The image of the Middle East (and its individual countries) is a problematic one. Negative coverage regarding war and terrorism overshadows the positive aspect of Brand Arabia, creating a negative perception with global audiences.

The session will touch on these issues and I am looking forward to a lively discussion.
