Hi Barath, just to respond to your comment.
This campaign that you have posted as reference is published, as you can see, in May. The Sony works were in fact published long before that, in the beginning of April, a fact to which, hopefully, the Archive will soon bear testimony to. AOTW is a little slow on the uptake…

Whoever came up with it… don’t get your hopes up for an award! The ad does more harm than good for the product. Were these ads ever approved by Sony??

  • 5. Vikram  |  June 3rd, 2007 at 11:30 am

    Yes, they were

nice photogrphy and execution. There is proof that negetive advertising worked in favour of the product. Here it doesnt look like a fresh idea.

these look like a typical scenario when a creative finds a nice shot on getty images and says, hey lets stick a Sony logo on this and make it an ad!
Hence there is no photographer on the credit

Unless you like vibrant sounds, deep bass shaking the walls and furniture and then penetrating your bones and you feel the “booom” inside your chest, you gonna say “it downgrades the brand”. Well, it works for a certain category of the target audience. I like it. Symphony lovers wouldn’t.

noufal, how many Victorian looking houses do you have in Muscat? the last shot was not shot in Oman. i doubt you had the budget to fly all the way to London for a print ad like this.
