Free Internet access with a haircut in Qatar

Saloon2010

This sign from Qatar is definitely the first of it’s kind anyone’s every seen!

It’s a sign-billboard for a hair dresser saloon for men, suitably named Saloon 2010, because it’s got a futuristic theme.

Instead of just informing customers that they can get free Internet access with a haircut, they’ve embedded some PCs and keyboards into the metal works.

Surely, that way, everyone will understand, right?

It’s all very ugly, but very funny.

Still, Saloon 2010 must take some credit for being the first hair dresser worldwide to use actual PCs embedded in a sign to promote it’s services.

LEE Jeans street campaign is a first

LeeJeans1

LeeJeans2

A French marketing firm, TriBeCa, ran this promotion for LEE jeans, to promote the opening of a LEE store.

As you can see, it’s a ’street campaign’ in which jeans are placed over parking meters and hung from wires above the streets, and there are other implementations in this campaign which you can see at Marketing-Alternatif.

Take a look at the hanging jeans on laundry wires. The first thing that came to my mind was that many streets in Arab capitals already have laundry hanging like that. They’re part of daily life. So, I doubt anyone will look up to see such a promotion :)
