Free university textbooks, but with Ads!

Here’s what could be the start of a controversial new media.

A new company, Freeload Press, is offering students the opportunity to obtain free text books, downloaded as PDF files that include advertising. All a student needs to do is answer questions on a simple survey and accept the advertising in the text books!

Apparently, textbooks cost a lot nowadays, and costly things that becomes free will obviously succeed right?

I personally think that advertising should stay out of some things in life, like curriculum text books. Other measures must be taken to provide needy students with free, or used, textbooks.

Turkish artists react to Middle East crisis

UN of silence

A webiste has emerged that collects visual reactions of artists and designers from Turkey towards the situation in the Middle East.

The website is called Low Res Reaksiyon and is run by NOMAD, an organization founded in 2002 to produce and experiment new patterns in the digital art sphere by using various lenses of other disciplines. It consists of designers, engineers, architects, curators and writers.
