Men’s magazines in Europe and the United States are feeling the sting of online media, as advertising pages have been dropping alarmingly quarter-on-quarter.
Apparently, the typical man today can’t wait a whole month to get a magazine. With fast information available at finger-tips, magazines are suffering.
Advocates of online media have been saying it for years. Finally, it seems clients have also started to see it.
It’s tough on magazines, but they can grab advertising money on the Internet through their ‘digital editions’. But they must move fast.

CNN has launched an Auto section on its Arabic language web site, CNNArabic.com, sponsored by Nissan.
According to CNN’s regional office, “It will provide a comprehensive news and information resource about cars and automobile technology.”
Starting immediately with a sponsor is quite an achievement.
For some years now, Nissan have been leaders in online advertising for automotive in the region. This development proves that online media has given them results.
The car section on CNN Arabic will, of course, cover all makes and models of cars.

Here’s another addition to World Cup fever that is taking over brands in the Middle East.
Lebanese singer Elisa and Christina Aguilera, two Pepsi stars, get in on the act.
With some ’smart production’ it also features Theirry Henry, David Beckham and Roberto Carlos in the stands dancing to a rather silly rendition of the German 80s hit ‘ Da- Da-Da’.
